Director's Statement: I propose an experimental and documentary film practice that affirms a contemporary, complex, and ever-shifting Franco-Ontarian identity. Rooted in lived experiences and regional realities that are often rendered invisible, my films explore memory, territory, and the body as sensitive, expressive materials. I work with hand-processed 16mm film and direct animation not out of nostalgia, but as a critical gesture against the speed, standardization, and algorithmic aesthetics of the ultra-digital. My artistic approach is grounded in slowness and rhythm as acts of resistance and care, weaving onto 16mm film fragments of time, bodies, and memory that slip beyond the algorithm.
This film is about how and what we chose to remember.
