Director's Statement: This film highlights Métis women who have greatly impacted me through beadwork. In my research as an artist and architectural designer, centering community, and stories of the land are really important in my process and understanding of place and history. Matriarchs in my family, and the Métis community have strengthened me through this same process. Through the words of Lor Brand and highlighting beadwork by her and Jennine Krauchi, I offer a bit of that knowledge through this film.
