Francis, a resident of the town, feels an inexplicable force drawing him back here, despite repeated attempts to leave. Similarly, Camille, who grew up there, has faced years of disarray in this town. Both carry the weight of Sainte-Agathe's once vibrant past and its current destruction due to a string of fires, which they believe are no coincidence. As their testimonies unfold, buried family wounds surface.

I have felt this force myself, and I wish to portray it through a pastiche of lived experiences shared by people from Sainte-Agathe whom I have known.
