Director's Statement: The Debut was created at a point in our careers when both Solmund, the producer, and I were very much in Edie's shoes. Her trial by fire mirrored our own - young, ambitious artists, given the opportunity and resources to produce a project larger than either of us had previously undertaken. Our hope is that the film communicates some of the same youthful energy, unfettered by experience.
